Photography is about capturing the moment and freezing time.
I believe that photography is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling journeys one could ever embark on. I decided to embark on my journey fully around five years ago. I bought a used 15 year-old (at the time) camera body, and a kit lens, and set about the streets and parks of Chicago, and shot everything I could. I had no clue what I was doing, and I didn’t know that I didn’t know what I was doing.
My journey took me to YouTube, and from there, I learned from great teachers like Tony & Chelsea Northrop, Jared Polin, Manny Ortiz, Ken Rockwell, Matt Granger, Ana Joy, Vahagen, Katelyn James, Michael Sasser, Snapchick (Leigh), Evan Ranft, Steve Perry, Gavin Hoey, and so many others that I could be naming for a week straight. I am constantly learning. As of now, I am currently learning light painting, portraits, boudoir, and headshots.
Photography is opening up doors for me, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next. Wherever that is, it will be posted here.
